Thank you for sharing this listening series with me! Your feedback has been very instrumental as we learn and grow from one another. During this series, we have talked about how we should listen to God and the importance of listening to our body. Now we will talk about listening to people.
It is imperative that we seek God first for direction and guidance before we start spending time with and listening to people. We have to have discernment about who we are listening to. This issue started all the way back in the Garden of Eden. Here, we find in Genesis 3:4, And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. Because of this discourse, sin entered into the world. Therefore, we have to be more serious about who we spend time with, who we are trusting, and what we are listening to.
Now more than ever, we are bombarded with so many messages. We have access to so much information and may find ourselves feeling what I call “over-simulated” or as some say, “I am at capacity” and this is completely ok. Your friendships should encourage, nurture, support, challenge, and comfort you during various seasons of your life. Friendships aren’t perfect and you may have to exercise forgiveness.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Luke 10:27, He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and, Love your neighbor as yourself.” Colossians 3:13, Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Take some quiet time away to hear from God and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in all of your relationships. As always, thank you for your love and continued support! Join me in prayer to change hearts, to heal our land, and for the contentment and peace to handle whatever should come up! I am so thankful to each of you for joining me on this journey to re-imagine contentment in 2024! God has so much in store for each of us. This is our year to OVERCOME!
Always look for the Remarkable in your life!
