We started this year by making a declaration that this is our year to overcome. I wanted to take a moment to check in with everyone on day 28 of the new year. You know, I have been faced with many different distractions on every side over the past few weeks; but I wanted to say to you to stay focused. Those distractions can cause you to lose hope and feel alone. That is a trick of the devil! This is something I have repeated consistently over the past several days. Once I stopped long enough to take a hard look at everything, I noticed progress with a major project on my job, and family members received a good report (Praise God) regarding their health.
It is easy to become frustrated when you pray consistently, and you don’t see a change as quickly as you want it. But remember, God hears us and is moving things on our behalf. I was reminded that God’s Word tells us repeatedly that “I am with you.” However, it is during the silent moments that we have to stay focused, draw closer to God, tune out distractions (including people), and celebrate the small victories!
The Bible tells us in Job 34:29, If God is silent, what’s that to you? If he turns his face away, what can you do about it? But whether silent or hidden, he’s there, ruling. Deuteronomy 31:8, It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Galatians 6:9, Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Stay focused! Don’t allow the distractions in your life to cause you to lose hope! Take a moment to celebrate and thank God for each victory! As always, thank you for your love and continued support! Join me in prayer to change hearts, to heal our land, and for the contentment and peace to handle whatever should come up! I am so thankful to each of you for joining me on this journey to re-imagine contentment in 2024! God has so much in store for each of us in 2024! This is our year to OVERCOME!
