Only Believe!

As we conclude the Believe series, we talked about believing to see and to meet Ervin “Magic” Johnson and how it worked out according to my plan and at the right time. We also discussed those times when you are believing, and it doesn’t work out according to your plan and your timeline. We found supporting scriptures to help us during those moments of unbelief. Today, we will look at the power of believing! I want everyone to understand that your faith is connected to what you believe. Do you believe only when you see evidence as Thomas did? According to John 20:25, So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, Unless I see the nail marks in his hand and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

I am so happy to say that we serve a God that can meet us wherever we are. A few verses later, Jesus came and stood among them and said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

Throughout this year, you may have faced grief, heartache, pain, financial hardship, church hurt, an uncontrollable situation at work and or at home, but God is able to meet you wherever you are if you only believe. Genesis 15:6, Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness. The power to believe can change your situation. However, we must monitor our tongue and make sure that our actions align with what we believe. Often times our words will contradict what we believe, and our actions will be contrary to that as well. But if we believe with our heart and trust God with the outcome, this genuine act of faith can move mountains. For we know, according to Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

As we wrap up the Believe series and our 50 Remarkable Things, we will start 2022 Re-Imagining Contentment and pursuing a life from God’s perspective. The blog will have a slightly new look but will have the same mission and purpose of encouraging others, and that will not change. We will always look for the Remarkable in our lives because that supports what we believe!

Always look for the Remarkable in your life!
