Let’s Show Mercy in March!

As a child, I can remember my mother and grandmother saying, “Lord have mercy,” whenever we had a crisis within our family or if someone else in the community or strangers found themselves in a difficult situation. Now, as an adult, I find myself watching the news, talking to friends, or reading a sad story about a recent development saying, “Lord have mercy.”

This simple but profound prayer is found throughout the Bible. In Daniel 2:18, He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Nehemiah 9:31, But in your great mercy, you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for You are a gracious and merciful God. Matthew 15:21, A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” Lamentations 3:22-23, The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

This urgent cry for help is still needed today! It will command the attention of our Lord! Let’s start crying out for mercy together! Lord have mercy, for my family! Lord have mercy, for your family! Lord have mercy, as our country starts to gather in larger groups! Lord have mercy, for the citizen of Ukraine! LORD HAVE MERCY!!!

Thank you for joining me on this journey to re-imagine contentment in 2022! God’s mercy is available to all of us! Let’s start a mercy movement within our homes, businesses, churches, communities, and around the world!

Always look for the Remarkable in your life!
