In 2017, I wrote a poem entitled Re-Imagining Contentment – God’s Way. I am reminded now more than ever, that we all need to re-imagine our lives according to God’s perspective. It is my prayer that this poem will inspire you on this journey. Amanda Gorman’s poem during the inauguration on January 20, inspired, influenced, and encouraged me to share these words with each of you.
Re-Imagining Contentment – God’s Way
Abba Father
You do all things well
I am made in your image
You knew me before I was formed
in my mothers' womb.
Help me to know and to feel contentment
in every breath of my being.
Let your peace reside upon me and your love abide
in my heart and mind always.
Help me to be uncompromisingly committed to my faith,
unapologetic about who I am, and
may I never become undone by the changes of life.
Heavenly Father, may I rest in knowing that
I am your child and that you are
an ALL knowing and
ALL powerful God.
Amen, Amen
