Although I launched my blog last Sunday, I started my 50 Remarkable Things Journey after my birthday last year. Some of those things will be described as BC/AC (before coronavirus/after coronavirus).
Almost a year ago, I was driving to a medical appointment alone and on the way home, I was unable to lift my right leg and my right foot dropped (foot drop is caused by nerve damage and a person is unable to lift the front part of the affected foot). I was terrified! I literally had to use my sock to lift my foot to place it on the brake. Looking back on this moment, I realize this was so stupid, but God is a protector and I know His angels were watching over me that beautiful afternoon in April. (Ps. 34:17 when the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles.) I promised God, that if I made it home safely, I would not put myself or anyone else in danger.
After much research, several medical appointments and driver’s education school for learning how to use adaptive technology to drive, I am back on the road again! I was able to take a Saturday drive to pick up some good food (although a Southern Girl, I am not the best cook but you will not starve at my home). Even in a pandemic, during my drive, I experienced the presence of God and I thanked Him for keeping me and providing the resources for me to be in my car driving to pick up food on my own.
I have decided that this is not a new normal but a transition for our world. I know we will not be the same after this but I believe we will be better! We will love more and notice the birds chirping outside of our window. What a blessing!
I want to thank you for your overwhelming support and outpouring of love for my business and blog!
