ABOUT
Minister ReShone L. Moore, Ph.D.
ReShone L. Moore, Ph.D. is a native Mississippian and has over 20 years as a career civil servant in the Federal government. Dr. ReShone was appointed as the Director, Graduate and Special Focus Programs (GSFP) Division, within the Office of Postsecondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education, on April 28, 2019. The GSFP Division administers two Federal TRIO Programs, Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement and the Training Program for Federal TRIO Programs, as well as the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need Program. In 2019, the programs administered by the GSFP Division issued approximately $74.5 million in funding to support 287 grant awards, serving over 8,300 students and TRIO professionals.
Dr. ReShone has been a member of the Student Service Office for almost 10 years, serving in the immediate office of the Senior Director and later as a Senior Management and Program Analyst with the Undergraduate Programs Division providing leadership support for the Student Support Services Program. This program under the fiscal year 2015 competition, issued over $297 million in funding to serve approximately 205,263 participants around the country.
Prior to her time with Student Service, she served for more than 10 years with the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). In this position, Dr. ReShone was charged with ensuring successful implementation of each Presidential Executive Order during this period.
Dr. ReShone’s educational background includes a B.A. in Mass Communications from Alcorn State University (Lorman, MS); a Master’s in Political Science/Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University (Starkville, MS); and a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science, concentrating in Public Policy and Administration/American Government, with a minor in Education Administration and Policy from Howard University (Washington, DC).
Appointed as the Bible Institute Director, she was licensed to preach the gospel on April 27, 2016 at The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square under the spiritual leadership of Bishop-Elect Anthony G. Maclin, Senior Pastor. She also serves as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated, Chaplain for the Washington, DC Alcorn State University Alumni Association as well as co-chair for the School of Education at Bowie State University.
Above all, Dr. ReShone is a servant of the most-High God.
